24-hour cancellation policy. A driving lesson reminder will be sent to the pupil the day before by the instructor. If a lesson is cancelled within 24 hours of notice, the lesson will be charged at the full rate.

Payment terms. Credit will not be given to take lessons now and pay later. Payment will be made at the end of each lesson unless a block booking payment has been made already.

Driving licence requirement. It is a legal requirement for all candidates wanting to learn to drive to have in their possession a Provisional, International or Full UK driving licence. Lessons cannot be undertaken if the candidate does not have a valid licence as this is a criminal offence. All candidates must present their licence to their driving instructor upon their first lesson to confirm their identity. Any candidate who cannot or does not produce their licence on their first lesson will be charged for that lesson.

Lesson duration. Each lesson booked will last for the duration of 1, 1.5 or 2 hours from when the driving instructor arrives at the pupil's address or pick-up location at the pre-arranged appointment time.

Accepted payment methods. Driving Academy is a cash business. We accept payments for all driving lessons by cash only. Payments are only accepted by bank transfer or PayPal if your driving instructor approves.

Driving test use of car. The pupil may be permitted to use the instructor's car for their driving test, only if the driving instructor is satisfied that the pupil is at the required standard. The length of time required for a driving test is a minimum 2-hour session. The test fee is a separate price, due to the use of the car for test and training before test time. Block bookings. Blocks of 10 or 20 hours can be purchased at a discounted rate but must be paid in full in advance. Block bookings cannot be refunded without a valid reason and must be used within 90 days of purchase.

Fitness to drive. The pupil must not be under the influence of any alcohol, drugs or medication which may affect their driving. If so, this will result in the lesson being cancelled and full payment being made to the instructor.

Franchise instructors. Driving Academy's instructors are all franchisees. This means they are classed as 3rd party and trade under the brand Driving Academy Ltd. All pupil's personal data and their records are stored securely and are compliant with all data protection and GDPR laws.

Acceptance. The pupil agrees to the terms and conditions above, this being recognised by paying for the driving lessons at the present rates included in our price list.
